WELL CHILD VISITS

The Bright Futures/American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) developed a set of comprehensive health guidelines for well-child care. The schedule of screenings and assessments recommended at each well-child visit from infancy through adolescence. Benefits of these visits include prevention, tracking growth and development, raising concerns, and working as a team for your child's health.
SICK CHILD VISITS

Appointments for a child experiencing an acute illness, injury, or to manage a chronic condition are scheduled for same day if possible.
BEHAVIORAL MANAGEMENT

Pediatricians can be valuable resources for parents seeking support and guidance in managing child behavior problems, offering a variety of services from early detection to specialized treatment referrals. They can perform behavioral health evaluations, discuss strategies for managing difficult behaviors, and connect families with additional resources if needed.
VACCINE MANAGEMENT

Well-child visits are a primary setting for administering vaccines. Pediatricians help families catch up on missed vaccines or ensure children are fully immunized as recommended. It is generally recommended to administer multiple vaccines during a single visit to maximize the benefits of the visit and ensure up-to-date immunization. They use appropriate injection sites and techniques for different ages and vaccines. Pediatricians maintain accurate records of all administered vaccines, ensuring that children are not over-vaccinated or miss doses. They may participate in state or local immunization information systems (IIS) to access and share immunization records. They actively communicate with families about vaccine schedules, risks, and benefits, and address any questions or concerns. Vaccines protect children from serious diseases and promote overall well-being.
SCHOOL & HEALTH PHYSICALS

School and health physicals are comprehensive medical evaluations designed to assess a student's overall health and physical readiness for school and extracurricular activities. A sports physical can help find out about and deal with health problems that might interfere with your sports performance or increase the chance of getting hurt. The AHSAA form is available through out Resources Page.
IN-HOUSE & OUTSIDE LABRATORY TESTING

The in-house laboratory allows us to perform many tests in the office. Most often the results are obtained while the patient is still in the office. As a result, our doctors will be able to appropriately diagnose your child and prescribe the best form of treatment more quickly. If the patient requires lab tests that are not available in our office, we will direct you to a nearby lab where the specimen can be collected. We usually obtain efficient turnaround times for final results. An additional bill may be sent from the outside laboratories entities.
